One of the first pro-Indians westerns. Jeff Chandler's performance is already in Cinema annals. But what's really bothering me in this film, it's the age difference between James Stewart (42) and Debra Paget (17). So a few scenes become somewhat weird when Debra looks like a child. Highly recommended though.
A really beautiful meditation about the different kind of values in distinct civilizations - the questioning of values and their relations with the human kind. A good James Stewart portraying a love story between a white man who becomes more and more closer to the beliefs shown by the indians in opposed to the ruthlessness of the civilized men.
