  2. Lights in the Dusk's rating of the film Bronco Billy

Is the big top a microcosm of the American heartland or a stand-in for the cinema itself? Arguably Eastwood's most personal film, 'Bronco' takes some of the same wacky comedy & good ol' boy archetypes of his earlier orangutan movies, but punctuates them with something more reflective & yearning. It's a film about the end of the West; about performers & performing; the business of show; about Eastwood & his audience.

  3. João Eça's rating of the film Bronco Billy

one of the most interesting films about the ambiguity of america and the celebration of the west that i've ever seen. if it was a peckinpah film, we'd have violence symbolizing the death of the american ideal. but it's not, and in Bronco Billy we have comedy, irony and self-parody as a way to celebrate the american dream in a group of outcasts that live in a country that stands no longer for what they believe in.

  4. Effendi Ben Smith-Malick's rating of the film Bronco Billy

More like Bronco Silly. I'm clever.

  5. Christopher R. Smith's rating of the film Bronco Billy

Uneven comedy is an offbeat offering coming from Eastwood, who is great in the lead, but as a director isn't quite the right fit for this kind of comedy, especially when it comes to the more far-fetched aspects of the plot. But there are some well-drawn characters and Eastwood cleverly undermines his iconic image. One of Eastwood's more interesting, but not so successful efforts.
