If someone is to be offended by Sacha Baron Cohen, there are more reasons to be offended by Borat than by Brüno. The edge that this character is always crossing makes is humour potentially political. And what seems to be mocked is prejudice and bigotry and futility and hatred and even homophobia. Borat, compared to Brüno, just seems like a tool for laughs. The construction of this movie, though, is less interesting.
