What are people saying?

  • Scorpio Velvet's rating of the film Bug

Castle's swansong - starts out exciting but focuses on our hero studying those "firestarter" roaches in which becomes bit slow, may not been the film Castle dreamed of working on but there were some good moments that could get the audiences creeping. (RIP Dillman)

  • Nick Schwab's rating of the film Bug

Strong opening scenes, then the pace slacks and bland characters start to mar it. Some of Bug's terror scenes make cockroaches menacing, something that nearly all killer bug flicks lack. But it bores when it's not in pure scare mode, and it's not often in that mode either. Szwarc, however, followed this up with Jaws 2. Perhaps he got that job based on a few of these fright setpieces, despite their unevenness.
