    Interesting mostly for the scenes of one of my favorite areas of the world as it was just before the war decimated it. Of course most of the destructive work had been done prior to the Nazi arrival: Dovzhenko does the standard "happy liberated peasants" routine in this picture made only a few years after the Soviets had starved millions to death in Ukraine.
