Ratings & Reviews

  1. Aaken's rating of the film Burning Secret

I haven't seen the film since its release in 1988, but back then, it left a deep impact on me. Perhaps because Goethe's Erlkönig is one of my favourite poems, and I discovered new aspects of it through the film, perhaps simply because I love Zweig's work... Perhaps I could identify with the boy and his struggles, growing up... I wonder how I would react to it now...

  2. Danny Bailey's rating of the film Burning Secret

This was a very pretty period piece flick, with great performances from Brandauer, and Dunaway. However like Carol Reed's "Fallen Idol", the film fell apart because of an incomplete storyline, and a very annoying kid that I wanted to punch in the face.
