Ratings & Reviews

  1. Tiago Gonçalves's rating of the film Cannibal

This reminds me of my grandma's roast. It takes ages to cook but in the end its always dry as fuck.

  2. dave gunn's rating of the film Cannibal

Loved how much the scenes in this are shrouded in black, and how the complexities of the cannibal's emotions are left equally as veiled until the very end. This was very pretty and interesting.

  5. Paolo Simeone's rating of the film Cannibal

A bit tedious, but definitely an interesting piece of cinema.

  6. lndah's rating of the film Cannibal

Mundane film about mundane life of a killer. Double mundanity...My God.

  7. msmichel's rating of the film Cannibal

With a title like 'Cannibal' one might think they are about to enter a horror thriller but Cuenca's latest work is anything but. The script is more focused on the everyday mundane existence of our killer and the possibility that in trying to cover his recent kill he just may find a changing force....love. While not as successful with religious parables the film does succeed thanks to de la Torre's performance.

  8. Sergiu Scripcă's rating of the film Cannibal

Le Boucher en español, trying to give the impression it's a character study disguised as a genre film (à la The Conversation), but eventually falling short.

  9. MATTEO BITTANTI's rating of the film Cannibal

Its biggest merito is to make explicit the connection between Catholicism and cannibalism in a non pedantic way.
