A classic Drive-in type film. A Charles Masonish cannibal cult in a rural Ontario town have a mysterious hold over it. A lot of ad lib performance utilizing the comedic talents of future SCTV greats Eugene Levy and Andrea Martin. Combined with the other acting that needs to be bad in order to complement the script or lack there of and maintain the humorous quality, Be nice to the car and it will start.
Not a bad little slice of Canadiana. Early roles for Martin and Levy displaying more dramatic acting chops (even though Andrea Martin got to in her strut her dramatic skills in her next film, the classic Bob Clark masterpiece "Black Christmas") and the sophmore effort by the legendary Ivan Reitman. Not bad. Not bad at all.
