Our take

Bennett Miller’s three-film winning streak began here: a true-crime biopic chronicling the investigative journalism that developed into the iconic novel In Cold Blood. With an absorbing Philip Seymour Hoffman as Capote, a chameleonic performance for which he won the Academy Award® for Best Actor.
