Beautifully shot second feature from the director of NORD has several poignant moments but flails around between them and suffering from laboured pacing and a little lack of credibility with character choices. The notion of harboured secrets is strong and rings true emotionally but the films construction and structure feel a little too self-aware. 3 stars
A patriotic and nostalgic love letter to Norway's beautiful countryside, people and culture. Honestly think one would have to have quite some knowledge of Norway, and the "Norwegian way" to properly understand and appreciate this film. I highly enjoyed it.
