30 hand picked films. A new one every day
This film was "directed" by Ken Hughes who also perpetrated "Sextette" which is another appalling film. My 7 year old grandson said, "Grandad, why are we watching this childish rubbish?"
A sweet tooth of a film. Brilliant.
The Candy Vendor guy ALWAYS scared the heck out of me when I was a kid. Still does!
love this movie!! a lot
An absolutely magical film and an ultimately terrifying one. That damn childcatcher.
Overlong but mechanically delightful musical with bright songs and peppy playing. Helpmann's characterisation is a minor triumph that lingers long into adulthood.
So many great elements and memories. Somehow I sat through this entire thing multiple times as a child. Childcatcher = stuff of nightmares
i cried when the child catcher caught them and afterwards I looked to the domes of cumulo-nimbus clouds for kingdoms in the sky
