Undoubtedly of its time, but a still fizzy Yuletide romp with more laughs per minute than most films a quarter of its age. Barbara Stanwyck seems to glow, and her sparkling comic timing is accentuated by a plum supporting cast. Clever, corny, old-fashioned entertainment.
A good vehicle for Barbara Stanwyck this stable of holiday programming is an ok blend of madcap comedy and corn. Supporting cast is by the numbers save the ever amiable Greenstreet and a great turn by Sakall as the meddling 'uncle' Felix. Somehow has acquired classic status over the years but its about as hollow as a chocolate Santa.
