Despite Holcombe's obvious effort to make it creative and stylish his shot-on-video direction feels like a bargain-basement version of a professional. The performances here are all over the place in both quality and tone: some actors play It comical or outlandish, others serious. Little of these tones gel. Thus it feels like amateur hour due to this awkward unevenness. I laughed often, but I am not sure I should've.
