Ratings & Reviews

  1. dionysus67's rating of the film Clockwise

Frenetic, as its title suggests, comedy which exploits to the fullest John Cleese's uptight obsessions with discipline and punctuality. If the psychoanalytical interpretation is only hinted at, the rest of the film is rather uninvolving as a satire of the British ethos of punctuality. Since the iconoclasm is toned down the only rewards stem from Cleese's amazing body language and expressions in control of clumsiness.

  2. miles's rating of the film Clockwise

Ive always had a thing for this film, good ol' john.

  3. Richmond Hill's rating of the film Clockwise

Rather pedestrian film-making for an otherwise frantic farce that charges all over the place. It never quite fizzes but it fits Cleese like a glove and the ending has a nicely downbeat quality that Hollywood probably would not tolerate.

  4. SafeStanding's rating of the film Clockwise

Typical Cleese performance. Farcical and generic but entertaining throughout.

  5. Ethan's rating of the film Clockwise

This film is only good because John Cleese is in it. He just had that presence that could make a shit film watchable.

  6. Rock and Bull's rating of the film Clockwise

Usually the type of movie I would love, but it just isn't very well done. Basically just goes through the motions.
