Entertaining violent bloodbath where Sly slaughters a motorcycle sect of criminal psychopaths that kill beautiful girls. Birgitte Nielsen do her best role as a hunted deer in high heels and Andrew Robinson is perfectly sleazy as a cop nobody likes. Brian Thompson also gets you "hooked" from the first scene where he (and the rest of the villains) bang two axes together as the worst of the killers. So bad it's good.
Hugely entertaining in the opening scenes; then, more cheesy action takes over (enter Officer Stalk!). Many interesting details from Reagan-era America. Brigitte Nielsen has real teeth. Jeans high enough to cover her belly-button. Stallone's such a pleasure to listen to. I never realized how entertaining he was. Never takes himself seriously either. Probably wears dirty citrus leather fragrance (Versace L'Homme).
Terrible acting, dialogue and action scenes. Just about everything misfires in this mess of a movie. Despite this there is a handful scenes (mostly montage scenes without dialogue or plot) where the 80's aesthetic really shines and brings the movie close to Michael Mann's Miami Vice territory. There is also a great score by buried under all the pop songs. Still, a fun curiosity.
