Tracing the true story that inspired the likes of Scarface and Miami Vice, this engrossing, enormously entertaining documentary is darkly comedic and full of pleasures. Intoxicating in its own fittingly lurid way, frenetic in its pace, and soundtracked to nostalgic synth sounds of the 1980s.
