Ratings & Reviews

  1. FISCHER's rating of the film Coma

Le metteur en scène Michael Crichton (grand écrivain de science-fiction par ailleurs) réalise à nouveau une oeuvre captivante et sympathique... www.cinefiches.com

  2. Steve G.'s rating of the film Coma

Richard Widmark in that final scene is like me when I realise this has finished.

  3. Balthaz21's rating of the film Coma

  4. Tlr Creme Org's rating of the film Coma

I miss the days when 70's modernist buildings were ominous cathedrals of evil, like in High-rise, Shivers, Zeder and this one. Splendid and understated at the same time, with great performances from Bujold and Douglas.

  5. bulgrin's rating of the film Coma

When Robert Wise would have directed this it would have been an outstanding movie, but with Crichton in the chair it's just a solid 70ies Thriller.

  6. chanandre's rating of the film Coma

Seen the opening sequence once too many times. This was the favorite "loop film" on TCM's (after Blowup). Gotta friggin' finish this up one of these days.

  7. Amanda's rating of the film Coma

Bad pacing, uninteresting characters, and predictable plot points.

  8. gloryofistanbul's rating of the film Coma

The seventies produced some great thrillers, this is one of the best

  9. Wipeoutt31's rating of the film Coma

How cheaply was this made for? It looks like TV money was thrown at the movie screen.

  10. Christopher R. Smith's rating of the film Coma

Solid thriller starts out as an engrossing medical mystery, and even though it does loose some edge as it becomes a more conventional suspense thriller, it simply but effectively retains a tense atmosphere of mounting dread. Some of the plot twists are fairly, and Crichton's stolid direction misses out on opportunities for stronger tension, but a strong cast and a fast-paced story make for a compelling film.
