As in "Le Mépris", cinema is the subject with which drama is constructed, with(in) layers that overlap through figures of style and apophasis, being narration the fulcrum of the film structure. Concomitant with the changes that the characters are entangled, is the materiality of the medium itself that interests to discover in the process by which the film is composed and decomposed, moving forward in that dialectic.

Yoshida does Bergman! Better in my opinion.

  4. Jeremy Ashlyn's rating of the film Confessions Among Actresses

Reality is flimsy. A very complex film. Nearly everything that happens could potentially be a metaphor or a re-enactment of something else that has happened or is happening. Maybe all three actresses are the same person. David Lynch, you'd like this.
