Ratings & Reviews

  1. Scorpio Velvet's rating of the film Corruption

Not much over-the-top than EYES WITHOUT A FACE (basically this film's a take on), but sure would dig that groovy score it has.

  2. ExperimentoFilm's rating of the film Corruption

A potential classic of lurid Brit depravity sadly let down by embarrassingly inappropriate music and by a gang of naff characters randomly introduced in the last 20 minutes. I felt sorry for Peter Cushing and Sue Lloyd who both gave deliriously excellent performances.

  3. Marcus Killerby's rating of the film Corruption

The idea that this expands upon or re-envisions Eyes Without A Face in any way, shape or form is ludicrous. It is one of the most singularly boring films I've ever watched. It's a shame, because it does have quite a lot going for it, but this is why it also has no excuse for being so abysmal. It's really like Austin Powers: The Horror Film, but that makes it sound like fun. Couldn't wait for it to be over. 1 Star

  4. This is Jake Kath's rating of the film Corruption

A mad scientist story told done with the grace and cultural urgency of the swinging sixties. Peter Cushing is wonderful and the excursions into the macabre were delightful! Fun times! Though, I do wish to watch this again with a better transfer.

  5. willmckinley's rating of the film Corruption

CORRUPTION (1968) aka CARNAGE aka LASER KILLER is a lurid variant on EYES W/OUT A FACE (1960), with 55-year-old Peter Cushing as the obsessed lover of a swinging British girl (Sue Lloyd) nearly two decades his junior. When she is disfigured in a tragic modeling accident, Sir John (Cushing) loses his head -- and so do a few others. Over-the-top classic that's must viewing for Hammer fans. (9/16/11 on TCM Underground)

  6. Christopher R. Smith's rating of the film Corruption

The story may be familiar, but this treatment is headlined by Peter Cushing, in top form as always, and kept moving with a kitschy energy and offbeat dark humor, leading to a wild climax involving an out-of-control laser. Great entertainment for B-horror fans.
