Weird, it's weird. Firstly, I think why dir depicts people's daily life rather than court, why, why.....But in some way, I get to know It testify that India makes movie most devastatingly in which society tramples on human rights. A little bit like Mia-Hansen Love's "EDEN" in means of passing time aka "All worldly things are transitory"
Straight up one of the most significant movies in 21st century Indian cinema. Amazing wide angle shots, fascinating colors and deadpan humor. The film is largely split into 4 segments, following 4 individuals from different walks of life, but, beneath the surface the film seems to also follow a 5th—the Court itself
The best social-institution-shits-the-bed movie since The Death of Mr. Lazarescu. Totally masterful use of wide shots. Some of the best directed extras ever. Teeming w/ anthropologically fascinating microdetails. The coda is a rug-pulled-out-from-under knock-out. Just wonderful. Damn.
