  1. Richard Tines's rating of the film Cowards Bend the Knee or The Blue Hands

my first guy maddin film, and i must say, from the initial taste, he seems to be just up my particular alley of bizarre...

  2. FISCHER's rating of the film Cowards Bend the Knee or The Blue Hands

Plus intellectuel que poétique, hélas ! www.cinefiches.com

  3. Graf von Zahl's rating of the film Cowards Bend the Knee or The Blue Hands

You need 5 seconds to see it's Maddin. Impossible to mistake with anything else. There is everything you can expect from him - it's weird, surreal, grotesque, looks like an old tape from twenties found somewhere in the attic (while exploring WaxMen museum of course). But for some reason I don't feel it's as good as it could have been.

  4. matelot's rating of the film Cowards Bend the Knee or The Blue Hands

  5. Andrew Miller's rating of the film Cowards Bend the Knee or The Blue Hands

  6. AdrianM.'s rating of the film Cowards Bend the Knee or The Blue Hands

surreal fisting. what more do you want?!

  7. El Biffo's rating of the film Cowards Bend the Knee or The Blue Hands

Originally a "peep-hole installation", this film is must-see if you love "naughty" silent cinema AND ice hockey! With a nod to "The Hands of Orlac".

  8. Ike Cinecult's rating of the film Cowards Bend the Knee or The Blue Hands

In my opinion Maddin's most expressive film, with over the top editing.
