Let me just say this, if I catch it on TV after a long day, I'll definitely watch the rest of it. It's one of those poor clichéd-ridden films that everyone has seen at least once in their life.
Can all the people that try to make MUBI this little perfect safe heaven for cinema lovers just chill the eff out? It's a cheesy movie, with a cheesy plot line, but it's entertaining and funny. The ending is a bit flat, but who cares? Gather up your girlfriends and boyfriends and get some popcorn poppin'. Not every day is 'Citizen Kane' day.
UPDATE:This movie's themesong is ''Can't Fight this Moonlight'' by LeAnn Rimes.
Its a film. A clliche-ridden film, granted. But a film, nonetheless. Now, the real question is "what is Troll 2 doing here". And thank you (for its inclusion)
Honestly, this has a bit of depth to it and the performances are decent, but for the most part, the dialog is flat, the script is a bit monotone, and the film seems to be someone's very tame sex fantasies.
Poor Piper Perabo must have thought she had hit a huge break in landing a lead in a Jerry Bruckheimer production. Unfortunately, she would turn down the female lead in Bruckheimer's 'Pearl Harbor' to do 'Lost and Delirious' (an excellent film AND performance), only to find that Bruckheimer effectively had her blacklisted and only able to take demeaning roles not worth her talents.
Can't help it. Guilty pleasure! Find it hilarious that MUBI's relates this film to Dancer in the Dark. LOL
