Klaus Kinski is at his creepy best as Karl Gunther, whose boarding house for young women hides some sinister secrets. He spends his downtime stalking his tenants from hidden passages and carrying out kinky, sadistic experiments.

True Klaus Kinski is a great actor, but this film really does not do it justice, the leitmotif of the character has too many holes, if he enjoys killing their victims do not understand the final crashing and why leaves threatening all meticulously displayed and built to rush to destroy his empire control. This film had a lot to give but ultimately just leaves a bad taste.
Excellent performance by Kinski but the script pretty much sucks. Only three of the characters (the killer, the investigator and the prisoner) are well established and the other dozen or so are mere absurdities. The stuff about women's sociality is utter bullshit, hardly anyone would be turned on by peeping toms.
Like in Tourist Trap director David Schmoeller continues his focus on the psychosis of the killer in this very very clumsy slasher oddball that elevates it self from mediocrity by having a quite intriguing killer played by a mad looking Kinski.
