Ratings & Reviews

  1. ExperimentoFilm's rating of the film Cut-Throats Nine

A cynical, sad, snowy chorizo western with a strong cast, a cool soundtrack and some OTT Fulci-style gore effects. The English dub was rather well done.

  2. Michael Harbour's rating of the film Cut-Throats Nine

An interesting story not very well executed. Kind of fun as an experiment in making a Gory Western and definitely with a dark view of humanity. The story is set in Idaho but filmed in Spain. I grew up in the area where the movie is supposed to take place and the exteriors filmed in the Pyrenees mountains look surprisingly like they were filmed in the Central Idaho mountains.

  3. Christopher R. Smith's rating of the film Cut-Throats Nine

Billed as the bloodiest spaghetti western of them all, it very well may be, it's also one of the best, certainly one of the darkest. A brutally intense survival story told with great gritty atmosphere and stronger writing and performances than you usually see in these kinds of movies. Great score by Carmelo Bernaola. It's hard to find, but fans of the genre really need to seek this one out.
