Bollywood “bad boy” Salman Khan stars as Chulbul Pandey, a corrupt cop who tracks down criminals and takes their money, keeping it for himself. When a new love, Rajo, encourages him to reach out to his estranged family, Chulbul reexamines his life.

I can't remember the last time I was so entertained by an action movie. Salman Khan wields ten ton charisma. He may not always be the biggest guy onscreen but no matter what he looms large. "Dabangg" has a healthy serving of comedy, romance, political corruption, and family melodrama to compliment the random bursts of outrageous violence. It's altogether the best and most polished Hindi film I've seen yet.
Most of the film is fairly routine but well done however when Salman Khan plays Uttar Pradeshi's uber-machismo to the hilt it's a blast. And the action sequences are gloriously ridiculous. There's just not enough of those elements though, and the film drags a bit when they are absent.
