  1. Tibulle85's rating of the film Dagon

Facilement l'une des toutes meilleures adaptation de Lovecraft, par Stuart Gordon, un spécialiste du sujet! ;-)

  2. Paul Mallinson's rating of the film Dagon

Not Stuart Gordon's best-remembered film, but superb nonetheless.

  3. film_lies101's rating of the film Dagon

Whenever Macarena Gómez was not on screen, I was like meh

  6. josh scam's rating of the film Dagon

The discreet charm of a made-for-TV horror film. Stylistically humdrum. Acting is bad. The plot is forgettable. But that Lovecfaft magic comes through. And the soundtrack will haunt you.

  7. V.S. Luoma-aho's rating of the film Dagon

More like 2,5, this one is actually on the brink of being almost a decent Lovecraft-flick. I liked the feel of the rainy claustrophobic streets and the chanty music with good ol' 'iä 'iä rantlings. Too bad about the budget & some godawful acting. Much wasted potential here.

  8. Federico Di Folco's rating of the film Dagon

  9. Malcolm Tent's rating of the film Dagon

Unlike Gordon's other Lovecraft adaptations Dagon is lacking a sense of humour to go along with the gore. The fact that the budget seemed so low didn't help (awful special effects). And the acting was pretty sub-par. In the end It had some good moments but all in all it's a half-baked film.

  10. Christopher R. Smith's rating of the film Dagon

It's major flaw is its low budget, which results in some unconvincing special effects. But other than that (and Ezra Godden being annoying in the lead) this is a pretty top-notch horror film. Fast-paced with sharply-crafted suspense, its smart and original, and knows when to go for gore and creature spectacle and when to hold back. Once again, Gordon has produced one of the best Lovecraft adaptations out there.

  11. Cimino!'s rating of the film Dagon

Truly one of the better Lovecraft-inspired motion pictures
