Ratings & Reviews

  1. Henri de Corinth's rating of the film Dark Waters

A convent on an island, an occult mystery, Fulci vibes, Slavic isolation vibes...this may or may not be a 'good' movie but it's nevertheless fun to watch in a late night, straight-to-video way. Louise Salter would have been an Early-'90s Crush candidate for 13-year-old me had I watched this 25 years ago.

  2. Nick Schwab's rating of the film Dark Waters

With an avant-garde, horror aesthetic over storytelling, Dark Waters and its Lovecraftian-nightmare atmosphere revere Lucio Fulci's 80's period, yet it's akin in quality to that Italian horror director's twilight period. Inventive technique and some great setpieces may keep it thrilling, but like Fulci, it's about the intuitive whole, and here its often flagging pace isn't like an odyssey into hell, but a journey.

  3. João R's rating of the film Dark Waters

  4. Hira's rating of the film Dark Waters

  5. Rocco's rating of the film Dark Waters

Really something special. An unholy union of Zulawski and Argento that boasts a nightmarish logic all its own.

  6. Pymo's rating of the film Dark Waters

    Sleeping Beauty in a Convent.

  7. Sean Patrick Stevens's rating of the film Dark Waters

Supremely creepy film I saw at The H.P. Lovecraft conference that Feels like if Tarkovsky had become an exploitation filmmaker!

  8. Paolo Simeone's rating of the film Dark Waters

It doesn't stand up to its fame, but well some moments are very intriguing especially given the locations.

  9. Marco Tassinari's rating of the film Dark Waters

Last ITALIAN horror movie? Great style and atmosphere.

  10. Valu2009's rating of the film Dark Waters
