hard to know what to say about this. i did enjoy it, but it's a pretty uninspired sexploitation hack-job capitalizing on the success of psycho. the most interesting aspect of the film is that most of the journey through the mystery is seen through the eyes of a suburban wife who isn't sexploited at all.
If it wasn't so PAINFULLY FUCKING OBVIOUS from the jump that the killer was a man in drag Day of the Nightmare might have been an effective psychological thriller. Instead its a movie I watched a couple weeks ago that I can remember almost nothing about because its that forgettable. Mildly amusing and entertaining but that's about it.
