30 hand picked films. A new one every day
I'm ashamed to say this: two Bette Davis should be more than enough, but the plot needed more depth! However, the final moments served a great conclusion.
Two Bette Davies are always better than one.
Dog ex machina.
An uneventful plot, safe directing, basic camerawork, lacking suspense. Not a complete waste of time because, you know, Bette x2.
I think RINGER also owed something to the earlier Davis film, "A Stolen Life". In that film, one of the twins dies in a boating accident, just like on RINGER.
I notice that the makers of that terrible television series "Ringer" fail to mention their idea spawning from this classic film. More people need to see it. Bette Davis is phenomenal, as always.
