Totally competent comedic flick. There's a few good performances and interesting moments sprinkled throughout, but other than that I found it quite boring. Nothing special or interesting about the cinematography, sound design or editing. It all just felt really safe, in a bad way, which is weird considering the subject matter.
Most of the verbal comedy falls flat--too predictable and one-dimensional, while some of the physical comedy is good. Story is well set up, but so boringly basic, as the stakes don't seem to matter at all. Most scenes in this film don't work in conjuction with the story, but are only included for one stupid punchline and CUT TO: next joke/irrelevant scene.
