Admittedly, Death Wish 2 isn't a great movie. Call it the failure to strike while the iron was hot (it came out 8 years after the original) or its unwillingness or inability to effectively portray Kersey as anything but the strong silent type. Definitely goofy with no urgency or real intensity to it, but its not without its charms -- the shootout at the park & the hospital scene at the end were decently done.
Sleazy revenge thriller from the always tasteless Michael Winner. Like with part one his sense of location is keen, but with the one-sided narrative, the comic book caricatures, the complete absence of any psychological probing into his vigilante architect and a total lack of irony, Winner kill this film faster than, well, Charles Bronson wielding a Beretta.
