Lamberto Bava has only ever impressed me with Macabre, his first feature. After that is a collection of rather dull looking TV feelie horror and gialli, with Demons being at least visually above the rest. I just don't think he compares well to the rest that he desperately tries to stand up with. The cyclops murder was delightfully bizarre though. Slashers may have been best in the 80s, but certainly not gialli.
