Early Brakhage. Surprised me with its poignant, almost-straightforward narrative, and strong reliance on (wonderfully dischordant) sound. Existential disaffection that wasn't as specific to the beats as he might've then thought; fragmentation, distortion, frustration, deep ennui ("desistentialism"), and the pairs and groups we form to make meaning from it anyway. That's a lot in 7 minutes... 3.5
