Ratings & Reviews

  1. Dan Kenneth Gigernes's rating of the film Desperado

American sequel that made the legend of El Mariachi more accessible to an audience who don't see subtitled features, but the bigger budget doesn't means it is better and sometimes the film feels more like a reboot than a sequel. Banderas is a good sexier replacement for the original Mexican actor, but it is Salma Hayek who is most memorable here as delicious eye candy. Tarantino's joke cameo is stupid though.

  3. Thomas Dods's rating of the film Desperado

I don't understand why people fall over themselves to praise this film. It is a perfectly fine 90s action movie and nothing more.

  4. marlonbrandodepressed's rating of the film Desperado

  5. Ethan's rating of the film Desperado

This movie is the epitome of badass. Rodriguez made Banderas a badass and he brought Salma Hayek a movie star and a sex symbol. He mixes these two great talents with a colorful ensemble of actors that make this feel like the Mexican Pulp Fiction.

  6. James Mackin's rating of the film Desperado

Salma Hayek is so hot she causes traffic accidents. And Antonio Banderas has come a long way from the days of Almodovar.

  7. Sara Gaspar's rating of the film Desperado

  11. raggiodisole's rating of the film Desperado

it has style, some substance, that great line('Lets play'), but it lacks soul. the 80's in the 90's

  12. Raymond Likes Subtitles's rating of the film Desperado

A bigger budget and explosions don't make a better film. This lacks the charm and the tension of the original El Mariachi. On the plus side though Salma Hayek does look great.

  13. CinemaDead's rating of the film Desperado

Possibly Rodriguez masterpiece since it shows some of the best examples of style. El Mariachi becomes a legendary character in this.

  14. The Heff's rating of the film Desperado

More action and nice nods to the original...keep eyes peeled for some appearances from original cast.

  15. Stefan Drees's rating of the film Desperado

Overloaded, with less power than the first part. Only the self-depreciating acting of Antonio Banderas (especially during the great Mariachi sequence near the beginning) saves this part from disaster.

  16. Luca Prosperi's rating of the film Desperado

Tacky, very tacky. But with awesome style. The guitar then, was a dream.

  17. Dogukan4Ever's rating of the film Desperado

    1995, dir. ROBERT RODRIGUEZ - 7/10 (USA)

  18. Paul Relf's rating of the film Desperado

Had its moments but mostly awful. Terrible acting (though its meant to be slightly terrible) and terrible script. The first film had much more charm than this too.

  19. Richard Punch's rating of the film Desperado

  20. Rattzz Matanzano's rating of the film Desperado

Difficult to find a flaw in this one.

  21. ElTigreNegro's rating of the film Desperado

Quentin Hackantino gets killed in this, one star just for that.

  22. cmuela's rating of the film Desperado
