too many monsters not enough destruction

  3. msmichel's rating of the film Destroy All Monsters!

Director Honda returned for this fine monster mash that assembled a greatest hits of monsters for a story of alien invasion and monster control. Ninth entry in the series was one of the best of the early films but was sandwiched between the two worst ('Son of Godzilla' and 'Godzilla's Revenge'). Fun film, terrible dialogue. 'We could be vaporized. So lets sit down and have a coffee' I'm not kidding.

  4. Gutterbug's rating of the film Destroy All Monsters!

Real good. Sometimes, those subplots, which end up getting more attention than the main plot, can get boring. But it certainly didn't with this one. I love the colors and absurd science in these movies.

  5. Hunter Duesing's rating of the film Destroy All Monsters!

DESTROY ALL MONSTERS is the Showa era of Godzilla films at their most fun, the Godzilla films are always at their most enjoyable when they combine goofy B-movie sci-fi and their trademark kaiju action. The shot of Godzilla leading the monsters into battle with Mt. Fuji in the background is one of the most iconic of the series. Poor King Ghidorah never had a chance.
