Ratings & Reviews

  1. FISCHER's rating of the film Devil's Doorway

  2. Nancarrow's rating of the film Devil's Doorway

Useless film. So underprepared you could get sick. Stick around for the sheep herd being blown up by dynamite

  3. Samuel Andrade's rating of the film Devil's Doorway

  4. TheBigCombo's rating of the film Devil's Doorway

  5. tibber's rating of the film Devil's Doorway

Thus far I've found the Mann westerns I've seen without Jimmy Stewart (this and Man of the West) to be far more successful at darkness and character nuance than his more popular films with Stewart; this may be the bleakest "classic" western I've seen. Robert Taylor looks silly as a Native American but he gives an excellent performance.

  6. David Dixon's rating of the film Devil's Doorway

Everything about it is excellent except for one thing and that one thing makes all the difference: Robert Taylor as a Native American. Their heart was in the right place, and Mann is a hero, but: Robert Taylor as a Native American.
