Someone had to make a movie for David Belle to star in his peak. It's hard to make comparisons with Bruce Lee (mainly because Lee was a movie star and Belle isn't), but Parkour, being such a young discipline, has a tremendous generational impact and its founders deserved to be imortalized in cinema. Sebastien Foucan had the documentary Jump London, the year before, which would make Free Running a well known term.
not quite the rip-roarin' fun time i had hoped for, but still passably entertaining. i figured the choreography would either rival or exceed the opener to "casino royale," but the bind movie outperforms most of what's on display here. as is usually the case with this sort of thing, there's too much plot and not enough leaping off of buildings.
