What are people saying?

  • Karl J. Kipling's rating of the film Don Diego and Pelageya

Seems to exist to warn (whom?) of the dangers of excess bureaucracy, as an illiterate old peasant babushka is arrested by the preening little stationmaster twerp for walking on the tracks, thrown into prison, and has to be bailed out. Amusing at times, especially in its caricatures of clueless peasants and bored bureaucrats (the Komsomol kids are predictably healthy, pretty and bland), without ever being quite funny.
