Ratings & Reviews

  1. Brotherdeacon's rating of the film Don't Tell Your Wife About It

I didn't find it at all humorous, though I have appreciated the cast in other films just fine. Merely a tired conceit of hen-pecked husbands and their harridan mates repeated throughout.

  2. Karl J. Kipling's rating of the film Don't Tell Your Wife About It

Japanese comedies always have that pacing problem: what should move at Yankee breakneck saunters along immersed, no doubt, in the puzzles of Zen. But this one has some really good gags: the parrot that squawks "Yes, dear" to the shrew wife's shouting down the hallway before the timid husband can get the words out himself, and, best of all, Ozu's regular serene father Ryu Chishu as a professional boxer named George.
