Underrated, Sweetest Word in the World Vol.3. Sometimes, there are too abnormal films to understand why the hell such a film exists like "Scream Bloody Murder," "Lisa Lisa" or something & this is one of those films. Dreadfully cheap, devastatingly boring elements somehow make uniquely sinister atmosphere & me vomit AS HELL. "Drive in Massacre" is Z-film ver "Zodiac," ofc I love "Drive~" more deeply.
Inept in every way, Drive-in Massacre may still have some bad movie charm, like in its murder scenes that have bad f/x that ring of H.G. Lewis' work, and some sleazy dialogue ("He's what you would call a perfect asshole," I just wanted to beat my meat,") but features too many scenes with the two detectives investigating. These scenes drag and are irrelevant to the plot, seemingly there just to increase the runtime.
