Synopsis
During the civil war the Red Army soldier Mykola Barabash was seriously wounded in the fighting in the Caucasus. Chechen girl Dzhalma helps him to recover. Mykola with Dzhalma return to Ukrainian village. But some villagers begin to hate Dzhalma, because of her non-Christian religion.
