  1. Pierluigi Puccini's rating of the film El crack

Alfredo Landa's change of register from comedian to a hard boiled, no nonsense, morally rigid and in the end vindictive private detective, rightfully embodies the best of a highly nostalgic spanish noir with sociopolitical undertones concerning life after Franco's dictatorship, and also conveys with deference some of the themes director Jose Luis Garci loves: New york, Boxing, Madrid, Sam Spade and Humphrey Bogart.
