Ratings & Reviews

  1. Richmond Hill's rating of the film Elgar - A Portrait of a Composer on a Bicycle

Not a patch on his 1962 film on Elgar, but perhaps that's to be expected. Colour brings few favours over black & white to this topic, more so when comparing flattish digital to warmer celluloid. Perhaps the lushly romantic needs diffusing around the edges a bit, not the harder reportage digicams create. Nevertheless it's a simple enough portrait with some pretty pictures set to exquisite music.
