An oddity. A cryptic Korean film school thesis with metaphysical aspirations that perhaps doesn't quite get there. A noble attempt, nonetheless. Hints of Tarkovsky's Stalker, sans philosophy, Du Weltz's Calvaire and Hillcoat's The Road. Add a splash of Rosemary's Baby, shake and stir. Despite its shortcomings, the film often manages to engage and unsettle.
This film hook me up from start to finish. I was trying to guess what was going to happen and what was going on all the time. At the end I had no idea. I was Mindfucked, which is usually a good thing, not this time. A scattered and surreal, paranormal and metaphysical road trip. Very interesting but ultimately unsatisfactory.
