No joke, when I was 12 and I saw the trailer for this, I thought, "That looks like a future classic." It's dumb as hell and fun watching a sexist wife-beater getting his ass cheeks handed to him on a J.Lo platter. Bonus points for the last-half-of-the-third-act time compression where she learns how to beat up a dude with a personal trainer who wasn't previously established in just one five-minute montage!
It was actually at the recommendation of my boyfriend that I ended up watching Enough for the first time. He had claimed that it was his all-time favorite film of Jennifer Lopez's, and now I can see why. It is a very evenly paced suspenseful thriller that perks up at all the right moments. Some might say it's overwrought, but I think the writing is clever and, at times, unexpected, which makes this an exciting view.
