Ratings & Reviews

  1. Dan Kenneth Gigernes's rating of the film Exorcist: The Beginning

The studio approved prequel version is a more traditional horror version but this one goes too over-the-top even if there is some elements that are intriguing also here. Sadly the inclusion of gory scenes from the original cut makes no sense and Izabella Scorupco is hired for an obligatory nude shower scene.

  2. João R's rating of the film Exorcist: The Beginning

This is the unnecessary proof that not all successful horror movies need and/or deserve a franchise. This movie is terrifyingly impotent to the point of the final exorcism tries to mimic the original (the wall crawling and the running towards the cross were more than disrespectful), which makes it all ruder.

  3. Graham Ball's rating of the film Exorcist: The Beginning

Well, let us face it... Renny Harlin is just not a very good filmmaker... either that or he's just very unlucky in his choices of projects... although I did not realise the man had worked so consistently for the best part of 25-30 years! Congratulations to you on that one Sir...

  4. Gustavo Razera's rating of the film Exorcist: The Beginning

If this lame-brained cash-grab can't even beat the 40-year old original when it comes to special effects and make-up prosthetics, what is there left to say about its actual artistic qualities - assuming there are any?

  5. Rattzz Matanzano's rating of the film Exorcist: The Beginning

  6. Kid Sisyphus's rating of the film Exorcist: The Beginning

  7. Daniel S.'s rating of the film Exorcist: The Beginning

Cruel African tribes, mean Nazis, crafty catholic priests, hidebound British officers, Renny Harlin and the scriptwriters propose a journey through the Hollywood of the 50's to the rare ones who dare to take a look at Exorcist: The Beginning. Nothing more to say. Already forgotten. Amen.
