  • josé neves's rating of the film Face Value

The value of a face is the value of its social mask but also the secret that it embodies, of the unsaid that, in this movie, it's in off, said over images of moments of exposure, like at work, public gestures accompanied by an interiority that is just in the voices, not in the images - on the fixed faces (masks), works the internal movement of sound (truth). A beautiful synthesis image-sound, by its antithesis.
