This was a lot better than I thought it would be. Its approaching over a month since I viewed it and particular moments still linger in my memory. The dance to/and the title song itself, Is It OK If I Call You Mine, and Out Here On My Own are all great tunes. This is like the end of 70s style filmmaking. The last film I can think of really that has that full 70s vibe. 4 stars
This has become the staple of TCM. I thougth it was one of his better efforts. The range of characters was pretty daring for its time, and I guess the song (as hackneyed as it was) worked given its context, but that whole thing with the magic synthesizer was too much.
