Ratings & Reviews

  1. A.B. II: The Return's rating of the film Fanboys

While it does produce some laughs here and there, this film is painfully unremarkable. As a humorous examination "Star Wars," it has nothing unique to say and it's far from the funniest of these examinations. In fact, while it shows extensive knowledge of the franchise, it mocks the fanbase pretty hard, especially the one-note protagonists. Even as a mindless road comedy, it feels stifled by its PG-13 rating.

  2. James Mackin's rating of the film Fanboys

A bunch of people who almost were famous, and Jay Baruchel and Kristen Bell try to watch the Phantom Menace before one of them dies. The joke is that the Phantom Meneace is bad, which I disagree with. So yeah, this is okay. Kevin Smith plays a pimp though.

    2008, dir. KYLE NEWMAN - 6/10 (USA)

  4. JaimeOBWK's rating of the film Fanboys

If you are a Star Wars fan, (maybe) this is the comedy you are looking for.

  5. seakat's rating of the film Fanboys

  6. cici_tran's rating of the film Fanboys

It's alright actually. Like Star Wars? Watch it.

  7. Joks's rating of the film Fanboys

Shame this film didn't come out earlier. Most of these jokes are too familiar now to work in the way its creator probably intended when the script was first written in the late 90's. But it's likeable enough to recommend for people that love Star Wars and movies about geeks in general. Kristen Bell steals the show, but everyone is good.

  8. Roger Da Silva João's rating of the film Fanboys

damn sweet. I mean, it is funny and all, but it also has a lot of heart.

  9. tombardacky's rating of the film Fanboys

  10. Christopher R. Smith's rating of the film Fanboys

Delivers about what you'd expect. After an awkward first act, it turns out to be a fairly good time with a likable cast and a cavalcade of cameos, even if it is light on real big laughs. Nothing special, but an amiable geek comedy.
