Simple and punctual. What I enjoyed about this film was that it never tried to be more than it was, while remaining to be very effective throughout. Entrapment not only for Meira, but even for her husband conforming to his community and religion even though it hurts him just as much.
Exceptional third feature from director Maxime Giroux that is an excellent examination of identity as a young Hasidic mother questions her role in life after meeting a man outside her faith. The winter shot Montreal Mile End district locations add a certain verisimilitude to the story which becomes both touching and thought provoking. Perhaps best the filmmaker's decision not to demonize the third wheel.
